"thought is your enemy" U.G.Krishnamurti

Welcome to the official frankie death website.

Here, at frankiedeath.itgo.com you will discover information, artworks and music about, by and from frankie death!! Also links to other related websites, which include reviews, bands and distribution of local independent Australian music.
Since 1995 frankie death has made available his home recordings and studio recordings on mostly cassette and cd. Although he started recording at a much early period dating back to the late 80's.
2005 celebrates 10 years of music releases by frankie death by making available for free Mp3 download the albums 'Dreamer', 'Gone' and 'Home'. Three albums of home recordings. Just click on the link below!
frankie resided in Sydney for three years after living in Melbourne for approx. 13 years, he performed only occasionaly in both Melbourne and Sydney, usually supporting friends bands such as Dogbuoy, Vocabularinist and the stinking Badger of Java!

He has also played with other Australian acts like Sleepy Township, Sneeze, B.L.Stryker(Sandpit), Jamie Hutchings(Blue Bottle Kiss), C-minus Project etc. frankie death has also been involved recording with musicians from all kinds of styles. From metal/rock bands like 'Dreadnaught' (richie p) and 'Beanflipper' (matt Harrod) to electronica/experimental acts like 'Dj Urinal Cake', Funkmeister G!  He has also recorded with 'pop folk' acts like 'Little Sky' and hip hop acts '2 dogs'. Working with producer Pauly B and doing vocals for a Sean Lowry track (which will probably never be released!) proved to be a challenging process.

frankie is probably best known for the recording "Future Unseen by frankie death and the photon belt" which involved Ernie Oppenheimer and was released in 1998. It involved the talents of a number of the above forementioned musicians. It featured the single "lovekult", which had a very inexpensively produced videoclip that appeared on ABC's music program Rage and a number of other locally made music shows. You can read some reviews of the CD "future Unseen" on the reviews page. There are many recordings available by frankie death but it may take some research and initiative to actually track them down! The internet is one way to actually do this!

frank has also been a visual artist for alot longer than he has been a "musician" ! Having had a number of exhibitions dating back to 1990. You can view some examples of franks paintings in the galleries on this website. We hope you enjoy that which is know as frankie death!
